Subcision
A procedure where a special Nokor needle is inserted into the dermal-subcutaneous junction to horizontally cut the fibrous bands pulling down depressed scars, creating space for skin regeneration and inducing collagen synthesis.
Indications
Depressed acne scars such as rolling and boxcar scars. Especially effective for deep depressed scars that are difficult to improve with standard lasers.
Contraindications
- Active inflammatory acne (treatment recommended after resolution)
- blood coagulation disorders
- use of anticoagulants
- keloid tendency.
