Keloid Treatment
Treatment involving direct intralesional steroid (Triamcinolone) injection to inhibit fibroblast proliferation and promote collagen breakdown. Can be combined with cryotherapy (liquid nitrogen), PDL (Pulsed Dye Laser), and compression therapy.
Indications
Keloidshypertrophic scars.
Contraindications
- Diabetes or immunosuppressed states (increased infection risk)
- pregnancy (for steroid injections)
- active infection at the site.
